IFRP invites Idaho forest collaborative groups to participate in a two day workshop - The Scale of Forest Restoration: Projects to Landscapes. The annual workshop brings together leaders from the timber industry, local government, conservation organizations, community groups, and land management agencies from across the state.

From Projects to Landscapes aims to help local groups and the Forest Service build on their experiences with large scale forest restoration.

The Partners announce the Jack J. Lavin Memorial Scholarship Program for the 2015 Workshop.
Jack was a distinguished forest manager, an active member of IFRP, and a Partner committed to serving Idaho's collaborative groups. In honor of Jack's contribution to forest stewardship and restoration, scholarships will be available.
The funds are available to partially cover travel, lodging or registration. Volunteers, currently participating in an Idaho Forest Restoration Collaborative, are the priority for the scholarship program.

A block of rooms is reserved at the Riverside Hotel for the nights of Feb. 17 and 18. The conference rate is $83.00/night (same as government per diem rate), $98 for double occupancy.

To receive the conference rate, be sure to reserve your room between December 30th and January 31st. Inform the hotel staff that you are attending the SAF (Society of American Foresters) Meeting in February. The Workshop is still the IFRP meeting; the Snake River Chapter of SAF contracted with the hotel for the event.
